NEET-UG 2024 Exam
The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), formerly known as the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), which is an All-India pre-medical entrance exam for candidates interested in a career in medicine. It is used to grant admission to MBBS, BDS, and Ayush programmes at various government and private institutions in India as well as to those who want to pursue their primary medical education abroad.
In accordance with the “Common and Uniform Exam” strategy, NEET has now taken the place of all state-level entrance examinations as well as the AIIMS and JIPMER entrance exams as the one-tier “Common Entrance Test” for a variety of medical programmes. The exam is given in May of each year using a pen-and-paper format. Opportunity for NRI/PIO)/GCC Resident Students in NEET-UG
There is a 15% designated special quota for NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), often known as the NRI Quota, in addition to the 15% All India Quota and the 85% State Quota.
Students who reside and pursue their education outside of India but are native residents only are eligible for the NRI quota, according to MCI. NEET-UG Exam Fee for GCC /PIO / NRI

Exam fees can be paid to NTA using a credit card, debit card, paytm, net banking, and UPI. While the chargeable amount for Indian applicants varies depending on their category, GCC, PIO, and NRI applicants must pay a set amount, minus processing fees and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
NEET-UG Admit Card
Additionally, the NTA is in responsibility of distributing the NEET UG admit card for the admission test. Aspirants should be advised that only those with a valid NEET admit card and picture ID evidence will be allowed to take the exam. The NEET admission card may be downloaded from the NTA’s official website whenever it is made accessible. It is advised that applicants keep a soft copy of their NEET admit card till the admissions process is finished.
NEET -UG Exam Centres Abroad
In response to requests from Indian expats, NTA announced abroad testing locations for the NEET-UG exam starting in 2021, including locations in the GCC.
NEET-UG Exam Pattern
The NEET-UG 2023 course syllabus will be decided by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Something that each candidate ought to watch out for. NEET-UG Preparation Tips

NEET-UG Answer Key
Following the start of the exam, the NTA will publish the preliminary answer key and post on its official website scans of all applicants’ OMR Answer Sheets and machine-captured responses.
A non-refundable processing charge of 200 rupees per challenged answer must be paid by the candidate if they are unhappy with the answer. The Final Answer Key will then be made public after the answer key has been updated appropriately if it is confirmed to be accurate.
NEET-UG Cut-offs
NTA will provide the percentile and cut-off scores for the NEET 2024 exam after the result. A cut-off score is the minimum amount of points needed to pass the exam.
There are two categories for the NEET cut-off:
- Admissions deadline
- Eligibility cut-off
The qualifying cut-off is the minimal score a candidate must achieve to pass the exam, whereas the admission cut-off is the last rank at which a candidate will be admitted.
The number of candidates, the difficulty level of the exam, their performance, and other criteria all play a role in determining the cut-off.
